This is what you will do
You will be working within the support team for Smart Event Manager (SEM) at Voorraedt. You will be the first point of contact for users of Smart Event Manager software. Functional questions about the operation of the software you handle directly yourself and you help users set up the software.
In addition to the functional help desk, you will deal with technology. Through our in-house training program, you will quickly make this your own. You investigate bug reports and specify them clearly for the developers.
In this versatile position, through the knowledge and experience you will be in constant contact with the users of our software. In addition, you determine how you develop.
This is what your day looks like
It’s 8:30 a.m.; your workday has just begun. You decided to work from home for a day today because it fits well into your schedule. As soon as you’ve grabbed coffee, you start reading through your mailbox. Yesterday you helped a client set up some new standard reservations in SEM and you just saw that he emailed some questions about this. You pick up the phone and call the customer to answer them directly.
It’s 9:30 a.m.; time for the daily stand-up. In it we discuss what we did yesterday but also what is on the schedule for today. That way, despite working from home, we stay well informed about each other. The rest of the morning is spent on an outstanding figuring out job about an accounting link. You interact with support colleagues, the developers and the customer to reach a solution.
Time flies, it is 12:15 and time for lunch break.
In the afternoon, you will have front-line phone service starting at 1 p.m. This means you will be the first point of contact for our customers who call with questions. The phone rings all day long and you know how to help our customers get back on track. Questions about functionality, a bug report and questions about how best to set up SEM all come up today. Just can’t figure it out? Then an experienced support colleague will be there for you where you can ask all your questions or spar about possible answers.
All customers are happy with your help and satisfied you close your laptop at 5:00 pm. Tomorrow another day to Lelystad, because having colleagues in the office is also quite fun!
Nice, but can I continue to grow?
As you become more knowledgeable about Smart Event Manager software, you can advance to the application consultant position.
